I love this story of an incredibly handsome, Honorable Knight! He is an Earl in England, working to restore his keep. His mother sends riders to let him know , that he must marry, sight unseen, young lady of a strong clan Laird, or her inheritance from her father, a Scottish Earldom for her son could be loss, with the home that she loves do much! On the way to Scotland to meet him betrothed, sign the letters, he stops by the home of twins, Neil, and Emma, since her father’s death, her brother is Earl, she, Lady Emma, has grown into a beautiful lady, inside, and out. Her brother is very protective of her, however, at one point he taught her to ride, to well in fact. When Garrick meets grown up Lady Emma, he can’t breathe, she doesn’t know what she feels, only that Garrick is the only man to make it better. She wants to visit a friend, due to give both soon, the only person available to accompany her, is Garrick, his retinue of a small group of warriors. Now, the problem is, if Garrick calls off this wedding, war will break out, the last thing Garrick wants, not because of fear, he doesn’t want to lose his Mother, the home she loves. What is a Knight to do? Marry Emma, or go to war?
